Role Summary

Associate Technician, Operations Night Shift. Night shift position on a 12.5 hour rotation (2-2-3) supporting the commercial manufacture of a vaccine drug substance at the Maurice R. Hilleman Center for Vaccine Manufacturing in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Support production activities in the manufacture of material.
  • Perform manual and automated operations, general maintenance and support functions necessary for production in collaboration with appropriate personnel.
  • Provide and/or author documentation and clerical functions to ensure accountability and traceability of product.
  • Maintain, inventory, and transport required equipment, materials, supplies and products.
  • Perform general maintenance and assist or troubleshoot equipment independently.
  • Perform housekeeping, facility decontamination, and prepare/maintain equipment used in production.
  • Conduct sampling/in-process testing supporting the manufacturing and validation process.
  • Deliver samples and other materials to laboratories, coordinating with Quality and Logistics as required.
  • Attend and actively participate in HAZOPS, waste walkthroughs, 5S, kaizen events, and other operations/quality/safety training as required.

Qualifications

  • Education Minimum: High School Diploma/GED or higher. Associate Degree in science or related field preferred.
  • Required Experience and Skills: Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills; ability to lift 50 lbs; ability to work 12.5 hr shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with alternating weekends and holidays.
  • Preferred Experience and Skills: Experience with on-the-floor cGMP manufacturing and familiarity with regulatory requirements; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Associates Degree in science or related field preferred
