Job Summary:
The LV Tech group seeks an Associate to support and execute the group’s strategy (direct equity investments, fund-of-funds investments, and value pull-through) through data analytics, opportunity triage and analysis, reporting requirements, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data analysis: perform scheduled and ad-hoc analysis for LV Tech’s portfolio; use internal/external databases for executive-ready reports; collect relevant data to answer executive/external questions; assist in potential investment analysis including P&L modeling and cap table construction.
- Market research: research and analyze areas of potential interest; analyze industry trends and competitor activity; gather quantitative and qualitative team inputs.
- Reporting: lead quarterly reporting for the Tech portfolio; manage fund financial performance and portfolio company financial performance.
- Fund management and operations: own internal recordkeeping; ensure proper documentation storage; support operations for deal discussions; manage conference preparation and coordination.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience in data analytics, project management, operations, consulting, or investing in life sciences/life sciences tools & software.
- Authorization to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Analytical thinking, learning agility, collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of drug development (direct/consulting/investing).
- Communication to senior leadership; project/data management and process improvement experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong planning and organizational skills.
- Comfortable responding outside normal working hours to urgent questions.
Additional Information:
- Travel required (~10%).
