What you’ll do (Creative Account Manager)
- Supervise day-to-day management of creative projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, brand strategies, and business objectives.
- Own projects end-to-end; serve as primary point of contact for in-progress work.
- Drive projects forward proactively: identify/overcome obstacles, monitor risks, and implement solutions to keep work on track.
- Develop and maintain timelines; track deliverables; ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Shape client requests into clear, actionable plans; ensure alignment from brief through final delivery.
- Own the creative review process (gather the right people; ensure feedback is delivered, understood, and actioned).
- Build strong relationships with clients and collaborators; communicate regularly for updates and feedback.
- Deliver regular reports on project status, account growth, and key achievements.
- Partner with creative, strategy, and production teams to deliver high-impact, compliant marketing solutions.
- Delegate tasks, supervise day-to-day activities, and foster open dialogue to empower creative teams.
- Maintain accurate internal trackers, client reports, and status updates (decisions, next steps, deliverables).
- Optimize processes for agile pod workflows; remove obstacles and drive continuous improvement.
- Route materials through internal review processes, including Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) when applicable.
- Lead the brand relationship end-to-end: understand brand strategy, marketing calendar, and business priorities; anticipate needs and shape incoming work.
- Participate in backlog grooming and intake to prioritize and sequence work based on timelines, strategic importance, and capacity.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, business administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in account management, project management, or creative operations within a creative agency, in-house team, or multi-brand portfolio organization.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis (Lilly will not sponsor work authorization/visas).
Preferred qualifications / required skills
- Experience supporting/leading creative projects and integrated marketing initiatives across multiple channels/audiences.
- Familiarity with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) workflows.
- Proficiency in Workfront or similar project management systems.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills; ability to drive alignment and inspire collaboration.
- Experience in highly regulated/compliance-heavy environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, government, media) with strong documentation and cross-functional review.
- Ability to handle key accounts or complex, multi-channel creative projects.
- Capacity management skills for self and small teams.
- Ability to identify/address process or technology challenges via project planning and milestone management.
- Solid understanding of creative development, digital marketing, brand strategy, and omnichannel execution.
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent preferred.
- Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback from peers/partners/stakeholders.

- Indianapolis-based; relocation package provided; travel up to 15% expected.
