Role Summary
The entry-level Associate Webcast Specialist assists in webcast pre-production, production, and post-production by supporting the setup and operation of video, audio, and webcast equipment. They are expected to exhibit strong communication skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn new online event technologies as the field grows and evolves.
Responsibilities
- Support all webcasts assigned from pre-production, production, and post-production
- Ensure that the assigned webcast is appropriately staffed and has sufficient technical resources in place
- Set up and operate video and audio production equipment, including the operation of webcast platforms
- Complete all postproduction to ensure rapid turnaround time of deliverables
- Act as both the primary client contact and technical contact for all webcasts assigned
- Perform video production (camera operation, technical directing, video playback, switching), audio production (microphone, teleconference, multi-language feeds, etc.), floor manager, encoding support, and any additional production requirements based on project requirements
- Coordinate the receipt and distribution of the presentation slide deck as required for the event
- Troubleshoot and implement new software and upgrades into the production environment
- Troubleshoot and provide minor repairs when needed
- Train and participate in training with webcast team members on new processes, equipment, etc., on an as-needed basis
- Support special projects as requested by management
- Travel to other sites and off-site locations as needed to support webcasts
- Any other special projects or duties deemed necessary by the supervisor or Manager
- Supporting webcasts both in-person and remotely
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 6 months of experience in professional video/audio production
- Required: Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Required: Computer literate on Windows PC
- Required: Ability to interact with customers in a professional and pleasant manner
- Required: Ability to work in high-pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a professional and appropriate demeanor
- Required: The ability to prioritize tasks and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision
- Required: Fluent in the English language
- Preferred: The ability to manage crew and delegate tasks as needed
- Preferred: Familiarity with webcasting platforms
- Preferred: Understanding of modern webcasting production and streaming video equipment and processes
- Preferred: Excellent understanding of functionally related software, equipment, and technologies
- Preferred: Possess the technical knowledge and collaborative and problem-solving skills necessary to translate abstract concepts into effective deliverables
- Preferred: Must be detail-oriented and able to apply quality control practices to all projects
- Preferred: Strong interest in video and audio production
- Preferred: Relevant coursework or experience in video and audio production
- Preferred: Familiarity with industry-standard software and equipment
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to work with a team to produce high-quality video and audio content
- Preferred: Professional video and/or audio production experience
- Preferred: Additional language fluency
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
