Associate Specialist, Quality Assurance

Role: Quality team member supporting the Services IPT at Elkhorn, focusing on quality compliance within animal health manufacturing. Responsibilities: review deviations, change controls, and qualification documents; assist with release activities for Final Packaged Product; conduct internal self-inspections; serve as backup for critical QA roles; participate in external regulatory inspections; support documentation and batch release workflows; handle short-term projects requiring organization and critical thinking. Requirements: High School Diploma plus 5+ years, Associate's with 3+ years, or Bachelor's in sciences with relevant industry experience; minimum of 2 years in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biologics); strong communication skills; foundational QA knowledge of deviation management and change control; experience with quality management systems. Preferred: familiarity with vaccine manufacturing, USDA regulations, enterprise systems like Reliance, SAP, or MEDS; knowledge of lean manufacturing; microbiology, biology, chemistry, or engineering background; basic project management skills. High-Value: emphasis on cGMP, USDA/animal health standards, deviation and change control, documentation review, batch release, regulatory compliance; travel approx. 10%; location on-site with day shifts.
