Associate Specialist, Engineering

Role: Associate Specialist supporting vaccine process development, technical transfer, and process improvements at the Durham manufacturing site. Responsibilities: perform lab-scale experiments (buffer/media prep, cell culture, particle analysis, lyophilization), execute bio-analytical assays, troubleshoot equipment and assays, support process characterization, technology transfer, and continuous improvement projects, author technical reports, and participate in cross-functional teams. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences, 1+ year relevant experience, strong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: experience in vaccine/biologics manufacturing within aseptic cGMP settings, bio-analytical assay expertise, experiment design, and technical documentation. High-value: vaccine process development, biologics manufacturing, lab-scale experiments, analytical assays, cGMP compliance, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Work setup: on-site with occasional off-shift or weekend support; travel approximately 10%.
