The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and curious Associate Scientist to join our team. What You’ll Do

  • Support cell culture media development for client programs and platform media development.
  • Execute experiments with supervision to support advancement of the Just - Evotec cell culture media platform.
  • Contribute to the preparation of statistical analyses, reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Design, execute, and analyze complex media screening DoE experiments to identify media additives that can improve cell viability, and product quality targets throughout long-duration upstream processes under supervision.
  • Author novel media formulations and documentation, transfer to Manufacturing, and support large-scale GMP media preparation protocols and deviations under supervision.

Who You Are

  • An enthusiastic problem solver with a BS in Cell Biology, Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field with 0-2 years of industry relevant experience.
  • An emerging scientist with a functional knowledge of cell biology, cellular metabolism, and lab analytical equipment (pH meters, cell counters, osmometers, and metabolite analyzers).
  • A laboratory specialist with academic or industrial experience working with aseptic cell culture techniques and following good documentation practices.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to share complex ideas in a simple, relatable way.
  • Someone with experience in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • A self-starter who takes initiative, owns your projects, and actively seeks out new challenges.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and thrives in complex situations where curiosity and experimentation are encouraged.
  • An organized collaborator who excels in keeping track of multiple tasks and data.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $78,000 to $82,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.

Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
