Purpose:
Conduct laboratory experiments and analysis in support of molecular toxicology studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently research, develop, troubleshoot, and refine novel cell, biochemical, and molecular biology assays/techniques.
- Apply expertise in experimental techniques and data analysis methods.
- Generate, coordinate, and present toxicity mechanism data using in vitro assays and/or new alternative methodologies (NAMs).
- Analyze and interpret molecular toxicology data; communicate findings to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate to transfer in vitro platforms and methods across AbbVie groups.
Qualifications:
- MS (0β2+ yrs) or BS (0β2+ yrs) in cell/molecular biology, molecular toxicology/pharmacology, biochemistry, or related field.
- Experience with basic cell culture and cell biology; biochemical/molecular biology endpoints (RNA, DNA, protein); spheroid/organoid culture/analysis is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills; data analysis, interpretation, report writing, and written/oral communication.
- In vitro assay development and troubleshooting; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Molecular model characterization and imaging endpoints experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of scientific/statistical/graphing software.
