Role Summary
Associate Scientist QC
Responsibilities
Testing of chemical components or products using laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV/VIS, and wet chemistry techniques.
Analytical review of data to ensure calculations are complete and accurate.
Perform quantitative chemical analyses of APIs and related materials under direct supervision following established procedures and guidelines using laboratory instrumentation.
Perform microbiological analysis as required.
Compute concentrations and statistical information (e.g., standard deviation, mean) from chemical analyses.
Prepare reagents and equipment to expedite analyses by measuring/weighing chemicals, standardizing solutions, and assembling equipment.
Maintain accurate records by logging samples received, analyses performed, procedures used, and results obtained.
Weigh and calculate samples in physical and chemical analysis using balances and volumetric containers.
Recognize and inform Group Leader about daily lab activity and analytical problems.
Organize and label samples, sample preparations, and solutions appropriately.
Maintain area free of contamination; restore equipment and supplies to designated area; participate in housekeeping.
Maintain compliance with assigned training plan.
Participate in the company performance management program as per policy.
Understand and comply with safety, environmental, and quality practices and procedures in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Life Science from a four-year college or university.
Required: Minimum 0-2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree.
