Role Summary
Associate Scientist to join the Protein Expression Sciences team. You will generate manufacturing grade clinical cell lines for production of therapeutic antibodies to support the Regeneron pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Applying innovative mammalian expression technologies to generate regulatory compliant stable cell lines
- Performing aseptic cell culture handling and transfection of cell lines
- Performing flow cytometry assays and operating liquid handler platforms to analyze stable cell lines
- Performing general molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques (e.g., PCR, RT-PCR, plasmid sub-cloning, isolation of genomic DNA and RNA from CHO cells, SDS-PAGE, western blotting)
- Accurately and consistently recording experimental methods, materials, and results in electronic laboratory notebooks
Qualifications
- Required: BS or MS in a scientific field with 0–3 years of proven experience; hands-on experience in molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques (PCR, RT-PCR, plasmid sub-cloning, isolation of genomic DNA and RNA from CHO cells, SDS-PAGE, western blotting)
- Preferred: Knowledge of flow cytometry (training available if necessary); experience with functional assays (ELISA, ELISPOT) and molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA/qRT-PCR, cloning)
- Education: BS or MS in a scientific field
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and implement new techniques and work as part of a team
