Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and qualify cell-based potency assays to support gene therapy programs.
- Execute qPCR, ELISA, Western blot, and related molecular or cell-based assays with attention to detail and reproducibility.
- Maintain adherent and non-adherent mammalian cell cultures, including engineered/stable cell lines.
- Operate instruments such as flow cytometers, plate readers (SpectraMax, EnVision), and other automated systems for assay execution and data generation.
- Analyze data using appropriate statistical methods; document experiments, results, and conclusions in an ELN.
- Present findings in group/cross-functional meetings; contribute to assay troubleshooting, optimization, and technical decision-making.
- Support sample testing for preclinical manufacturing process and product characterization.
- Help transfer qualified assays to GMP laboratories.
Qualifications:
- BS with at least 3 years relevant lab experience, or MS with 0β2 years.
- Hands-on experience with cell-based assays, preferably potency assays.
- Experience with qPCR, ELISA, and CE-Western blotting.
- Strong mammalian cell culture skills; ability to execute experiments independently and reliably.
- Exceptional organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- mRNA expression measurement using qPCR; luciferase reporter assays; immunofluorescence and imaging-based readouts; automated imaging/plate-based platforms; GraphPad Prism.
