Associate Scientist, Pilot Plant

Role: Associate Scientist in Pilot Plant at Bristol Myers Squibb, responsible for scale-up and execution of upstream/downstream biologics processes to support clinical and commercial development. Responsibilities include performing non-GMP pilot operations such as bioreactor and chromatography setup, troubleshooting, and process monitoring; preparing technical documentation; supporting process investigations, tech transfer, and digital initiatives; and collaborating with Process Development and manufacturing teams. Qualifications: B.S. or M.S. in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field; 2-4 years industry experience in Process Development, Pilot Operations, or GMP manufacturing; knowledge of upstream/downstream processes, cell culture, chromatography, filtration, and experience with single-use systems; familiarity with automation, cGMP, and data analysis tools preferred.
