Associate Scientist (Membrane Technologies)

Role responsibilities / typical day:
- Maintain cell cultures (insect and HEK293 cells)
- Assist with small- and large-scale protein expression using bacteria, insect cells, and HEK293 cells
- Perform molecular biology techniques (plasmid and bacmid purification, baculovirus production)
- Perform protein biochemical analysis using HPLC and FPLC
- Conduct protein purification (affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion) and biochemical/biophysical analysis (FSEC, SDS-PAGE, western blot, FACS, in vitro functional assays, SEC-MALS, BLI)
- Participate in journal clubs and data presentation

Qualifications:
- BS/MS in biology, biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, or related field; 0–2+ years relevant experience
- Experience in molecular biology and cell culturing
- Highly desired: heterologous protein expression and purification experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
