Responsibilities:
- Perform functions to support assay development and analysis of pre-clinical and toxicological samples.
- Perform assays for critical assay reagent testing, assay development, and troubleshooting.
- Collect and analyze data per project to support assay development, troubleshooting, reagent evaluation/qualification, and other lab projects.
- Document assay work with accurate, clear, complete records.
- Assist with ordering supplies and ordering/preparing reagents and supplies for assay work.
- Assist with updating/writing assay documents, including information/data archiving, SOPs, and status reports.
- Complete GLP and safety training per departmental requirements; stay current on departmental and corporate training.
- Maintain detailed inventory of freezer reagents (controls, proficiency panels, reference standards).
- Present assay development and sample analysis progress to colleagues and senior management.
- Provide critical data review of testing data.
- Build team skills and collaborate within the work group.
- Organize work to meet deadlines; follow procedures and seek guidance as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- Bachelorโs in biology, microbiology, molecular biology, or biochemistry with 0โ2 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on laboratory experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills (Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software).
- Experience with aseptic techniques.
- Ability to complete required Policies, Practices, and Procedures training.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Pharmaceutical/biotech drug discovery experience.
- Knowledge of Luminex technology.
- Mammalian cells and aseptic techniques.
- Experience developing/troubleshooting bioassays for antibody functionality.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Experience using common AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support problem solving.
Benefits:
- Annual base salary range: $60,200โ$100,400; bonus target 7.5%.
