Role Summary
Associate Scientist, Immunology in Pfizer’s Cellular Mediated Immunity (CMI) group. You will generate high-quality cellular immunology data in a regulated laboratory to support vaccine programs, with a primary focus on high-throughput flow cytometry to analyze cellular immune responses. Location: On Premise.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-throughput flow cytometry assays to characterize cellular immune responses.
- Support additional immunological assays such as ELISPOT and other biofunctional methods as needed.
- Maintain compliance with GLP/GCLP and internal SOPs for all laboratory activities.
- Assist in assay development and qualification and ensure accurate documentation of experimental work.
- Prepare reagents, maintain inventory, and manage sample workflows efficiently.
- Analyze and interpret flow cytometry data and present findings to team members and management.
- Collaborate within the CMI group and across teams to support vaccine development programs.
- Stay current on departmental and corporate training requirements.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry) with 0 to 2 years of experience.
- Required: Hands-on laboratory experience in immunology or related field.
- Required: Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Required: Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and scientific data software.
- Preferred: Experience with flow cytometry and understanding of its scientific principles.
- Preferred: Knowledge of immunology and cellular immune responses.
- Preferred: Familiarity with ELISPOT or other biofunctional assays.
- Preferred: Understanding of relevant statistics and data analysis.
- Preferred: Experience with laboratory automation and high-throughput workflows.
- Preferred: Exposure to mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques.
- Preferred: Prior experience in a clinical or regulated laboratory environment.
