The Process Chemistry group is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist II to support process research and development of peptides, small molecules, and ADCs from pre-clinical through early clinical phases. Primary focus: maintaining peptide synthesis equipment and facilities used by development chemists. Also includes procurement of chemicals/materials for peptide synthesis and performing routine experiments, including synthesis and analysis of peptides and small molecules and/or ADCs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain laboratories and shared instruments (peptide synthesizers, UPLCs, LCMSs) in working order through routine maintenance.
- Manage laboratory equipment and chemical inventories to support peptide and other modality synthesis.
- Assist in solid phase peptide synthesis following established protocols to generate material for process development scientists.
- With supervision, conduct process development and characterization for peptides and other modalities as part of chemistry teams.
- Generate and analyze precise, reliable, and reproducible data in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- MS in chemistry or related field, or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field with 3+ years industry experience.
- Experience performing synthetic organic chemistry research in academic or industrial settings.
- Experience with solid phase peptide synthesis (preferred, not required).
- Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
