Associate Scientist II, Histology

Role: Associate Scientist II in Histotechnology supporting preclinical toxicology studies within Arrowhead’s drug development team. Responsibilities: perform end-to-end histology workflows—including tissue processing, microtomy, staining, IHC/IF, and necropsies—ensuring high-quality, reproducible data; collaborate with pathologists and toxicologists; maintain accurate records and SOPs; support study timelines with flexible scheduling. Requirements: 3-5 years of histology experience or B.S. with 1-2 years in histological techniques; proficiency in ELN, IHC, microtomy, and basic anatomy. Preferred: histotechnology certification (HT or HTL ASCP), experience validating RNAscope/multiplex IHC/IF, familiarity with LIMS/ELN, digital pathology, and whole-slide imaging. High-Value: supports preclinical drug development, working with animal tissues, across species, with an emphasis on quality and reproducibility, onsite in San Diego.
