Summary
The Associate Scientist will perform routine operations supporting the development laboratory at RayzeBio’s Indianapolis manufacturing facility. This role supports radiochemical and analytical methods for drug product, quality control, and isotope supply programs, advancing targeted radiopharmaceuticals from R&D through clinical development to GMP commercial production. Responsibilities may include equipment checks/maintenance, GMP operations & QC support, ordering materials/inventory, onboarding new technologies/equipment, and supporting expansion projects.

Job Responsibilities
- Execute routine equipment checks and maintenance following GDP/GMP guidelines.
- Independently perform routine GMP radiolabeling and clinical site sample preparation.
- Support general laboratory organization and cleanliness.
- Support development team work related to drug product pipeline/programs.
- Manage third-party vendors for analytical and laboratory equipment.
- Support hot cells, gloveboxes, and production cleanrooms.
- Ensure compliance with NRC, EH&S, and US/EU GMP regulatory guidelines (as required).
- Less than 5% travel.

Education/Experience
- BS with 0–3 years of experience in Radiochemistry (or equivalent scientific experience).
- Experience working with radioactive materials desired.
- GMP and GDP experience desired.

Skills/Qualifications
- Laboratory experience following safety and PPE requirements.
- Experience with analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, pH, GC, gamma spec, alpha spec, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, Radio-TLC).
- Radioactive materials experience; alpha emitters highly desirable.
- Strong ethics/integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and in a group.
- Uses AI tools to enhance productivity/quality of work.

Physical/Work Environment (high level)
- Lab environment with protective clothing, gloves, and safety glasses; may lift/move up to 30 lbs.

Compensation Overview
- $34.05–$41.26 per hour (Indianapolis, IN). Additional incentive cash/stock may be available based on eligibility.
