The Opportunity
- Associate Scientist I, Analytical Development to support routine testing and analytical method development/optimization for characterization of targeted lipid nanoparticles (tLNPs) and components to expand the mRNA/tLNP platform and pipeline.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform routine analyses and support development/optimization of methods under supervision for tLNP and subcomponent characterization (plate-based assays, DLS, ELISAs, CE and/or HPLC).
- Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Discuss methods/data in team meetings; contribute to improving team operations, analytical procedures, methods, and SOPs.
- Support analytical lab operations (equipment maintenance, inventory organization/maintenance, aliquoting/labeling, and other tasks as needed).
- Maintain detailed documentation and electronic lab notebook (ELN) entries for experiments/assays.
- Prepare data reports and presentations as needed.
- Follow safety procedures/guidelines, protocols, and SOPs.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineering or related field with no additional experience.
- Must be detail oriented with demonstrated problem solving and organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime (as needed) required.
- Highly adaptive and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred
- Experience with plate-based assays, ELISA, HPLC, and/or capillary electrophoresis (CE).
