Position Summary:
Associate Scientist, Gene Engineering and Delivery—advance next-generation cancer immunotherapies via molecular design, viral vector engineering, and gene delivery innovation. Design, clone, characterize, and produce viral vector constructs enabling CAR T cell therapy development.

Key Deliverables:
- Execute molecular design and cloning of complex DNA constructs for cell therapy applications.
- Demonstrate competency in mammalian cell culture, transfection, and transduction of primary T cells.
- Develop molecular engineering designs and assays for gene delivery and viral vector characterization.
- Produce viral vectors to enable gene delivery workflows and experimental evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and clone DNA constructs to support CAR T cell therapy development.
- Culture mammalian cell lines for viral vector production, assessment, and gene delivery applications.
- Set up and run molecular characterization and cellular assays to evaluate viral vector performance.
- Develop new molecular and viral vector characterization assays.
- Execute viral vector production and characterization protocols.
- Collaborate on technical feasibility of novel gene delivery methods.
- Process/analyze data, review results, and communicate conclusions.
- Maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebook records.
- Summarize/present data in meetings and written reports.
- Work cross-functionally to execute and improve experiments and assay performance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years academic and/or industry experience

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- BS/BA in scientific discipline and 4+ years hands-on relevant research
- Strong molecular biology: assay development, molecular design/cloning, PCR, RT-PCR, mRNA and DNA prep
- Tissue culture experience: transfection and T cell transduction
- Organization, time management, problem-solving, attention to detail
- Ability to design/execute experiments with some supervision
- Outstanding written/visual/oral communication
