Associate Scientist, Formulations

Role: Associate Scientist in Formulation Development supporting small-molecule therapies for cardiovascular diseases, focused on prototype formulation and drug product development. Responsibilities: design, execute, and analyze experiments for oral solid dosage forms (tablets, capsules, suspensions), develop scalable manufacturing processes, and collaborate cross-functionally with Analytical Development, Chemical Development, DMPK, and EH&S teams. Requirements: BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 6+ years or MS with 4+ years of industry experience; hands-on expertise in pharmaceutical formulation, oral solid dose manufacturing equipment, and characterization techniques. Preferred: experience with CROs/CDMOs, strong scientific problem-solving, and effective communication skills. High-Value: expertise in formulation screening, optimization, process development, and laboratory operations in a biotech/pharma setting, specifically within cardiovascular drug development pipeline. Work setup: On-site in South San Francisco, with responsibilities emphasizing laboratory operations and cross-functional collaboration.
