What You Will Do
- Execute and optimize quantitative proteomic workflows supporting cell-surface target discovery, proximity-labeling studies, preclinical biomarker discovery, and mechanism-of-action investigations.
- Execute proteomics workflows including sample preparation, peptide fractionation, LC, and MS acquisition (DIA, TMT, label-free DDA, PRM).
- Prepare samples from cell lines and other biological matrices (cell-surface protein enrichment, proximity labeling).
- Operate LC-MS systems across multiple vendor platforms; assess instrument/data quality, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues with guidance.
- Process and evaluate proteomic data using Proteome Discoverer, Spectronaut, and DIA-NN; support data analysis and sharing.
- Analyze results, identify technical issues, and collaborate with project scientists.
- Communicate experimental plans, progress, and results to teams.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of experiments, protocols, instrument performance, and analyses.
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree
OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of scientific experience
OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of scientific experience
OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of scientific experience
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry/chemical biology, molecular/cell biology, or related field.
- Hands-on proteomic sample prep; familiarity with Proteome Discoverer, Spectronaut, DIA-NN (data quality assessment/interpretation).
- Desirable: protein enrichment; ability to evaluate LC-MS performance and troubleshoot sample prep/chromatography/instrument issues.
- Plus: automated sample-prep platforms (Tecan, Hamilton, Opentrons, KingFisher); experience with cell lines, tissues, biofluids, FFPE.
- Strong organization, communication, interpersonal skills; attention to detail; commitment to reliable, reproducible results.
