Role: Associate Data Scientist specializing in Knowledge Graph Engineering within AbbVie's Information Research team. Objectives include designing, building, and maintaining semantic data infrastructure to interconnect information across domains, supporting data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities encompass graph data modeling (node, relationship, property design), pipeline development for data ingestion from multiple sources, query engineering using Cypher, data validation and quality assurance, performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration for requirement gathering and documentation. Qualifications required are a Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience or a Master's degree with no experience, familiarity with software development lifecycle (Git, testing, basic CI/CD), experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) and query languages (Cypher, SPARQL), and proficiency in data analysis programming languages (SQL, Python, Spark, SAS, R). Preferred skills include experience with entity resolution, record linkage, knowledge graph construction, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). The role involves working closely with solution architects, product owners, and domain experts to deliver reliable, queryable knowledge graphs to support biopharma research initiatives.
