The Associate Scientist, Data I supports the design, development, and deployment of data and analytics solutions that enable digital transformation across AbbVie Operations.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and data products that support operational use cases.
- Collect, transform, and analyze data from manufacturing, laboratory, and enterprise systems.
- Support the development and deployment of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to define data requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to data quality, governance, and standardization efforts to ensure trusted and accessible data.
- Build dashboards, visualizations, and analytical tools that enable data-driven decision making.
- Participate in proof-of-concept, pilot, and innovation projects within the Emerging Technologies portfolio.
- Document technical solutions and follow established engineering and data management best practices.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Understanding of data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, data modeling, cloud-based data platforms).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Interest in applying data and digital technologies to improve manufacturing, laboratory, and operational performance.
- Must be curious, collaborative, and passionate about leveraging data to solve complex operational challenges.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and eager to learn emerging technologies.
Preferred:
- Experience with Python, SQL, and data analytics tools.
- Familiarity with machine learning modeling, AI, or data visualization tools.
