Role: Associate Scientist supporting small molecule and biologics drug discovery in Virology, Oncology, and Inflammation at Gilead. Primary objectives include designing, optimizing, validating, and executing biochemical and cell-based assays to identify and characterize drug candidates. Responsibilities encompass high-quality data generation, analysis, interpretation, and communication within cross-functional teams, as well as implementing automation and assay technologies to enhance efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in biology, biochemistry, or related field with 4+ years or Master’s with 3+ years of industry experience; hands-on experience in drug discovery assays, including ELISA, TR-FRET, MSD, flow cytometry, and immune assays; familiarity with high-throughput screening and automation systems. Preferred skills include experience with small molecule or biologics research, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and serving as a technical resource.
