Responsibilities (During a Typical Day Might Include):
- Design and execute immunoassays (e.g., ELISA) with limited supervision; troubleshoot assay problems and perform follow-up experiments; suggest protocol modifications or alternatives.
- Develop immunoassay methods and write assay validation protocols for review.
- Multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Summarize and present results to supervisors (verbally and in written reports/presentations).
- Perform validation experiments; summarize results in tabular form; write/review validation reports and procedure documents.
- Communicate effectively with the Assay Development Group.
- Oversee preparation of reagents/buffers; coordinate re-ordering of supplies and reagents as needed.
- Operate a range of laboratory instrumentation; oversee instrument verifications/maintenance if required.
- Evaluate new technologies for immunoassay development.
- Maintain GLP compliance for laboratory work and assay validation documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Learn and comply with laboratory safety requirements; address potential safety problems.

Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor or Master (0–3+) degree in biology or a related field with proven experience.
- Hands-on immunoassay knowledge using a variety of detection systems.
- Proven understanding of additional methodologies to measure proteins and immunogenicity.
- Prior experience in bioanalytical assay development (highly desirable).
