Position Summary
- Develop effective collaborations within CPD project teams (organic chemists, chemical engineers, analytical scientists) to support an increasingly complex portfolio of small molecules and multi-molecular (ADCs, peptides, oligonucleotides) drug candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide fit-for-purpose analytical methods and analyses that generate key insights/process knowledge for scale-up and process optimization.
- Facilitate analytical problem solving using various analytical techniques.
- Collaborate to deliver innovative analytical approaches to support route selection and process optimization.
- Partner with Analytical Functions within CPD and across Product Development to evolve, integrate, and optimize analytical support.

Associate Scientist Responsibilities
- Develop in-process and release analytical methods throughout synthetic chemistry, including HPLC/UHPLC/SEC/GC/IC and techniques such as KF, LOD, titration (under senior scientist supervision).
- Critically analyze analytical results to improve robustness and understanding of key quality attributes.
- Actively collaborate with team scientists.
- Demonstrate adaptability in a complex, changing environment.
- Review/discuss analytical results and conclusions orally and in writing.

Qualifications & Experience (Required)
- BS or MS in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent): 1–5 years industry analytical experience (or 0–2 years with MS).
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Ability to execute/document experiments and communicate results.
- Problem-solving skills and strong desire to grow scientifically.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal/collaborative skills for matrix teams.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with chromatography and/or spectroscopy.
- Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment, automation, and digital tools.
