Associate Scientist, Advanced Characterization

Role: Associate Scientist specializing in biophysical binding assays within OmniAb's Advanced Characterization Team, focusing on antibody and peptide interactions derived from proprietary human repertoires. Responsibilities: design, execute, and analyze label-free SPR and BLI assays to determine binding kinetics, affinity, and epitope binning; collaborate with discovery teams to interpret data and support clone prioritization; maintain documentation, troubleshoot experiments, and contribute to scientific presentations. Requirements: PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, or related, with 0+ years of experience; expertise in protein biochemistry and biomolecular interaction analysis; proficiency with SPR/BLI platforms; understanding of binding models and data interpretation. Preferred: additional wet lab skills, structural biology background, and prior contributions to publications or patents. High-Value: focus on antibody discovery, label-free interaction analysis, biophysical characterization. Work setup: based in Emeryville, full-time, no travel, office hours 8am-5pm PT.
