Job Summary
QC Associate (QC Microbiology) – Cell Therapy Facility (CTF), Devens, MA. Support QC microbiological in-process, release, and stability testing of clinical/commercial cell therapy drug product. Also support clean utilities systems testing, environmental monitoring, and may assist with investigations and continuous improvement. Reports to Manager, QC Microbiology (Devens CTF).
Job Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological testing and data review (in-process, batch release, stability) per procedures and cGMP.
- Perform environmental and clean utilities monitoring.
- Complete assigned testing/tasks on time.
- Train on additional test methods; support broader testing.
- Support investigations via data gathering/interviews.
- Apply scientific principles; ensure proper lab equipment use.
- Communicate with management on status/roadblocks/needs.
- Participate in projects/continuous improvement; perform other assigned tasks.
- Shift coverage: weekdays, weekends, holidays, adverse weather; AM shift Sunday–Wednesday 6AM–4PM.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably life sciences).
- 0–2+ years microbiological testing/QC (or equivalent); preferably in regulated environments.
- Basic lab techniques and lab safety.
- Preferred: endotoxin, sterility, environmental monitoring, process gas & water testing, aseptic technique.
- Preferred: GMP regulatory standards knowledge.
- Attention to detail; organizational skills.
- Basic electronics/IT: email, MS Office.
- Preferred: LIMS and ELN.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication with peers and management.
Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- $35.03–$42.45/hour (Devens, MA).
