Responsibilities: lead modeling projects using tools like CADET or GoSilico, design calibration experiments, extend modeling to viral inactivation, UF/DF, and filtration processes, and communicate insights to cross-functional teams. Mentorship of junior scientists and shaping modeling standards are key. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related field with 3+ years (Ph.D.), 5+ years (M.S.), or 7+ years (B.S.) industrial experience. Skills include expertise in preparative chromatography, transport phenomena, parameter estimation, and simulation tools; experience with biologics, viral clearance, and process scale-up is essential. Preferred qualifications include industrial biologics process development experience, familiarity with ML techniques, high-throughput data, and continuous processing. High-value specifics: biologics (mAbs, viral vectors, vaccines), downstream unit operations, process development, and process optimization at the development or scale-up stage.
