Primary Responsibilities:
- Represent Discovery Analytical Research in project teams; provide technical guidance and drive scientific strategy.
- Develop, implement, and troubleshoot advanced analytical methods (separation-based and biophysical techniques) using automation.
- Solve complex problems and drive innovation in analytical measurement technologies.
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams; build partnerships with discovery groups and contribute to organizational goals.
- Mentor and develop junior scientists; promote learning and innovation.
- Ensure high standards of data integrity and documentation.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (or related field) with 4+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Deep expertise in separation techniques for vaccines (UPLC, LC-CAD, CE-SDS, SEC, BCA, Western).
- Strong vaccines biophysical expertise (e.g., DLS, SLS, MFI, DSC, SAXS).
- Automation workflow experience, including liquid handling platforms (Tecan, Bravo, NIMBUS).
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
- Deliver complex objectives under challenging timelines; collaborate cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills:
- Electronic laboratory notebook use and good documentation practices.
- Coding/scripting (Python, R) for automation or data analysis.
