Associate Principal Scientist – CAR-T Discovery

Role: Scientific expert leading research in next-generation CAR-T cell therapies within AstraZeneca's Oncology Cell Therapy Unit. Objectives: advance off-the-shelf and innovative CAR-T approaches through experimental design, execution, and interpretation of complex in vitro and in vivo studies. Responsibilities: conceive and lead research workstreams, develop novel engineering strategies (e.g., logic-gated targeting, alloreactivity mitigation), collaborate cross-functionally with Biologics Engineering and Discovery Science, and mentor junior scientists. Requirements: MS with 3-6 years (industry equivalent 8-10+ yrs) in biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, or related fields; proven expertise in cellular and molecular biology, immunological assays, T-cell engineering, viral vector design, and animal tumor models; strong publication record or scientific contributions. Preferred: experience with allogeneic platforms, gene editing (CRISPR, AAV), humanized mouse models, and biotech/pharma pipeline projects.
