Associate Principal Scientist –Analytical, Inhalation products

Role: Associate Principal Scientist in Pharmaceutical Technology & Development at AstraZeneca, focusing on analytical support for commercial inhalation drug products. Responsibilities: provide technical expertise in method troubleshooting, process and formulation issues, support product supply strategies, manage analytical technology transfers, and lead innovation projects to improve analytical methods and manufacturing robustness. Collaborate with manufacturing, QC, regulatory, and external partners to ensure product quality, compliance, and regulatory submissions. Participate in technical standards definition and support life cycle management of commercial products. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field; 5+ years in pharmaceutical analytical, formulation, or process development, preferably with inhalation medicines; proven project leadership within a matrix organization; strong understanding of cGMP, SHE, and regulatory standards. Preferred: MS or PhD, experience with analytical method lifecycle, and involvement in regulatory filings.
