Operations
Sets up equipment for routine processes. Under general supervision operates complex equipment and monitors manufacturing processes. Communicates operational events and issues with appropriate individuals. Identifies opportunities for improvement and assists in implementing changes in physical operations and written documents. Operates assigned jobs and maintains operating conditions within desired range under supervision. May work with a certified/qualified Trainer to learn equipment and manufacturing process. Sets up equipment to accommodate minor processing changes and assists with work process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledgeable of basic jobs in assigned area and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies; complies with local and industry quality and safety standards.
- Proficient in manual or controlled process equipment.
- Learns and expands knowledge with a certified/qualified trainer; applies required technical, regulatory, and safety training.
- Troubleshoots problem situations with occasional assistance.
- Under occasional supervision, makes timely decisions to accomplish department goals; recommends improved manufacturing/departmental processes; takes ownership of tasks/small projects including 5S implementation and SOP reviews.
- Listens to acquire information and understand work procedures; participates in sharing information; attends and participates in meetings.
- Resolves conflict professionally and constructively with others.
- Rotating shift schedule and overtime every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday): 11:00pm–7:00am; 3:00pm–11:00pm; 7:00am–3:00pm.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic technical knowledge with manufacturing experience in chemical, biological, pharmaceutical, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of department basic operating procedures/guidelines, and compliance and safety rules for normal duties.
