Role Summary
Associate Neuroscience Sales Specialist - Flex Team - South Central. Responsible for providing interim coverage of open sales territories, including all aspects of sales territory management—selling specialty neurology products to Movement Disorder Specialists and Neurologists. Able to move within the U.S. as business needs dictate. Interim coverage would likely span a 1–6 month period and then role would be reassigned to a different opening for a 1–6 month span of time. Upon successful performance for 12 months, eligible to apply for any open territory in the United States for a full-time, long-term territory assignment. Location options include Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Las Vegas, NV; Albuquerque, NM; Phoenix, AZ; Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Effectively impacts existing and new customers by providing exceptional value and service, which helps providers identify and start appropriate patients on therapy.
- Educates physicians and physicians’ staff on the value of the Company’s products for patient care.
- Utilizes knowledge, critical thinking, and dialogue skills to deliver meaningful customer experiences that result in satisfaction, equity, and loyalty.
- Anticipates, identifies and addresses healthcare professionals’ objections, questions, and concerns.
- Utilizes appropriate techniques to gain consistent access to customers.
- Utilizes sales aids, clinical reprints, etc. according to training; tailors resources and information depending on customer needs.
- Develops strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including key opinion leaders within the territory.
- Identifies and investigates customer concerns and communicates with appropriate staff to resolve problems promptly.
- Analyzes sales potential and executes in the territory to achieve strong business results within budgets and policy guidelines.
- Develops and adjusts quarterly business/action plans; submits timely reports of business transactions and maintains accurate expense records.
- Provides guidance on pricing and reimbursement; acts as liaison between customers and Company on reimbursement questions.
- Collaborates with sales management, region/area teammates, and cross-functional teams as needed; attends conferences, trainings, meetings, and product launches.
- Leads when appropriate and maintains a positive, collaborative attitude; remains compliant with regulations.
- May participate in training of new Sales Specialists and cross-functional projects; may mentor junior team members.

Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (life sciences preferred). At least 2 years of healthcare sales experience. Ability to travel 90% of the time and live in assigned geographies for 1–6 months at a time. Must be in good standing with the FDA and OIG.
- Required: Demonstrated selling skills and ability to dialogue effectively with customers; ability to build relationships quickly within the neuroscience community; strong disease-state and product knowledge.
- Required: Ability to live within the assigned territory in temporary housing paid by the company and relocate every 3–6 months as business needs dictate; strong persuasive selling and negotiation skills; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Required: Ability to assess territory business opportunities and customer needs, operate with a business owner mentality, and apply technical/scientific knowledge and business analyses.
- Required: Strong organization, initiative, self-motivation; professionalism and integrity; ability to comply with strict policies in a highly regulated environment; ability to maintain confidential information.
- Required: Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; willingness to travel extensively, including overnight travel and potential air travel to company HQ and meetings.
- Preferred: Willingness to participate in training activities during Area, Regional, and National meetings; ability to mentor others.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, with emphasis in life sciences preferred.
