Role Summary
Responsible for providing interim coverage of open sales territories, including all aspects of sales territory management—selling specialty Neurology products to Movement Disorder Specialists and Neurologists. Interim coverage would likely span a 1-6 month period, with reassignment to a different opening for another 1-6 month span. After 12 months of successful performance, eligibility to apply for any open U.S. territory for a full-time, long-term assignment.
Responsibilities
- Effectively impacts existing and new customers by providing value and service to help providers identify and start appropriate patients on therapy.
- Educates physicians and staff on the value of the Company’s products for patient care.
- Uses knowledge, critical thinking, and dialogue to deliver meaningful customer experiences that drive satisfaction and loyalty.
- Anticipates and addresses objections, questions, and concerns from healthcare professionals.
- Maintains access to customers using appropriate techniques; tailors resources to customer needs.
- Develops strong relationships with HCPs, including key opinion leaders within the territory.
- Investigates customer concerns and coordinates with staff to resolve problems promptly.
- Analyzes sales potential and executes in the territory to achieve strong results within budgets and policy guidelines.
- Develops quarterly business/action plans and submits timely reports of business transactions and expenses.
- Guides pricing and reimbursement discussions; acts as liaison on reimbursement questions.
- Collaborates with sales management, region teammates, and cross-functional teams as needed.
- Attends conferences, trainings, exhibits, meetings, and product launches as required.
- Assumes leadership opportunities with a positive, collaborative attitude; remains compliant with regulations.
- May participate in training new Sales Specialists and cross-functional projects; may mentor junior staff.

Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; minimum 2 years of healthcare sales experience preferred.
- Required: Ability to travel approximately 90% of the time; willing to live in assigned geographies for 1-6 months at a time.
- Required: In good standing with the FDA and OIG.
- Required: Demonstrated selling skills and ability to dialogue effectively with customers; strong relationship-building within the neuroscience community.
- Required: Ability to live within the assigned territory in temporary housing and relocate every 3-6 months as business needs dictate.
- Required: Exceptional disease state and product knowledge; strong persuasive selling and negotiation skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Required: Ability to assess territory opportunities and operate with a business owner mentality; ability to learn and apply scientific knowledge and business analyses.
- Required: Organizational initiative, self-motivation, professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information in a highly regulated environment.
- Required: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to travel extensively by car and air as needed.
- Preferred: Relevant experience in neuroscience or related neurology specialty products.

- Deep neuroscience product and disease state knowledge; ability to become a subject-matter expert within the neuroscience community.

Education
- Bachelor's degree required, emphasis in life sciences preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Physical Requirements: Regular standing, walking, sitting, handling or operating equipment; ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; ability to travel overnight and work after hours as needed.
- Travel: Up to 90% of the time, depending on territory geography; may require living within the territory for 3-6 months at a time; possible travel to Company HQ and regional/national meetings.
