Associate, Membrane Protein Biochemistry

What You Will Do
Purify polytopic membrane protein (MP) targets into stable formulations with detailed analytical characterization to advance large- and small-molecule therapeutic discovery programs and develop MP platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Purify membrane proteins (MP) on small to large-scale (ÄKTA systems) and apply quality-focused analytical methods such as HPLC/UPLC to characterize deliverables.
- Record experimental work in the electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) and prepare specification documents (e.g., SOPs) and technical reports to support quality, compliance, and best practices.
- Organize and report findings to support membrane protein deliverable handoffs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally as an excellent team player.
- Additional responsibilities may include expression of membrane proteins in native and heterologous cell lines.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences.
- OR Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant scientific experience.
- OR High school diploma/GED and 4 years of protein purification and/or protein analytics experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Familiarity with protein purification fundamentals and techniques.
- Strong communication skills; ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Comfort using standard laboratory software and MS Office.
