Role Summary
Associate Medical Director, U.S. Medical Affairs - GU Oncology, with a focus on Prostate Cancer for US Medical Affairs in the Solid Tumor GU Oncology portfolio. Responsible for providing medical and scientific support aligned to strategic objectives, supporting cross-functional teams, and driving medical education content and initiatives. Hybrid role with location in Horsham, Pennsylvania, and potential for remote consideration.
Responsibilities
- Generate a consolidated Medical Affairs strategy and tactical roadmap that integrates across medical affairs activities
- Support cross-functional teams to identify medical barriers and opportunities, help to prioritize and execute MAF led initiatives
- Provide subject matter support across the GU Oncology portfolio to support current and future indications with a strong understanding of the competitive landscape
- Drive the strategic vision for medical education content for field medical and field V&E teams. Partner with MCSE teams on content development, review, and approval of fair-balance advertising and promotional education content for commercial teams
- Drive Medical Affairs initiatives, including congress activities, advisory boards, steering committees, external engagements and core slide decks through innovative and creative content development
- Acts as standing or ad-hoc member for various cross-functional teams to provide SME expertise
Qualifications
- Required: A PhD, PharmD or MD is preferred
- Preferred: Background in Oncology and Prostate cancer is preferred
- Required: A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience is required
- Preferred: Experience developing and executing medical launch strategies is preferred
- Preferred: Experience developing congress strategies and prioritized OL engagement is preferred
- Preferred: Medical writing experience strongly preferred
- Required: Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are required
- Preferred: Proven track record of developing, presenting and publishing clinical studies is preferred
- Required: Strong organizational skills are a must
- Preferred: A demonstrated ability to work in a matrix type environment with interaction with cross-functional teams is preferred
- Required: This position requires up to 25% annual travel (domestic and international)
