Associate Medical Director, Clinical Development Rare Movement Disorders

Role: Associate Medical Director in Rare Neurology at Biogen, supporting early and late-stage clinical programs in SMA, ALS, and RMDs like Friedreich Ataxia and Huntington’s disease. Objectives include ensuring successful trial execution, innovative design, and regulatory engagement. Responsibilities encompass developing and reviewing study protocols, safety and efficacy monitoring, cross-functional team representation, and contributing to regulatory submissions, publications, and investigator meetings. Qualifications required are an MD, Ph.D., or PharmD with at least 5 years in clinical research, expertise in trial design, GCP, and regulatory standards, and experience analyzing clinical data. Preferred background includes neurology or rare disease experience, familiarity with biomarkers or digital health tools, and strong communication skills. The role involves global collaboration, reporting to the Director of FA Clinical Development, and may require occasional domestic and international travel. This is a management-level position based in a hybrid or remote setup with a compensation range of $194,000-$267,000, complemented by comprehensive benefits and performance incentives.
