Associate Manufacturing - Days

What You Will Do
- Perform operations within Manufacturing, specifically purification, at Amgen’s Rhode Island facility.
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and understand, follow, and document in batch records.
- Work a 12-hour rotating schedule (7AM–7PM, two-week rotation; average 14 days on shift per month; every other weekend off).

Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor critical GMP manufacturing operations per SOPs.
- Use and perform basic troubleshooting in electronic systems (MES, Delta V, ERP).
- Execute routine validation protocols; draft and revise manufacturing procedures, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Participate in and lead safety and quality initiatives.
- Support Lean Manufacturing by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions.
- Work with diverse teams; escalate issues appropriately.
- Own corrective and preventative action and non-conformance records.

Basic Qualifications
- High school/GED + 2 years manufacturing/operations experience OR
- Associate’s + 6 months manufacturing/operations experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of large-scale purification (chromatography, TFF, aseptic processing, etc.); large-scale cell culture.
- CFR/regulatory knowledge; mechanical expertise on fed-batch equipment.
- Knowledge of WIP lab equipment/computers with LIMS access; Trackwise technical writing.
- Project management/presentation skills; basic statistical/math skills; GMP interpretation; analytical methods.
- Experience with Delta V, RD’s; lab equipment/testing.
