Responsibilities:
- Execute drug discovery pipeline programs; manage projects and tasks independently with awareness of internal/external interdependencies.
- Identify and champion resolution of critical gaps, risks, or issues related to assigned programs/projects/tasks.
- Prioritize projects/programs and allocate team resources with guidance; align with organizational strategic objectives.
- Drive and contribute to decision-making across cross-functional program teams.
- Distill complex information and capture rationale for decision-making.
- Facilitate timely, accurate scientific/technical and program-related communication between functional areas; tailor communications to the audience.
- Provide technical and/or operational guidance to project teams and/or other RPM members.
- Identify and collate key data and functions to support discussion and decision-making for moving programs through discovery and drug development.
- Support process improvement initiatives; independently analyze areas for process improvement.
- Create new processes as needed (with guidance), lead development, and gain alignment on solutions based on technical/scientific challenges.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of BS/MS/PhD.
- Required: Knowledge of molecular biology, protein structure-function, and assay development concepts.
- Required: Prior experience in drug development.
- Regularly applies strategic thinking to complex scientific principles.
- Ability to organize complicated workflows/operations.
- Desirable: Prior project/program management experience.
- Excels in team building and communication.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
