Role: Lead scientist and developer for sequencing informatics at Regeneron Genetic Center, focusing on multi-omics platform development to maximize data value. Responsibilities: design and implement advanced sequencing informatics methods across platforms like PacBio, Illumina, Olink, and Ultima; collaborate with lab operations and technology partners to onboard and scale new sequencing techniques; optimize protocols for DNA, RNA, long-read sequencing, and proteomics; contribute to bioinformatics R&D in base-calling, read mapping, and variant calling; deploy industry-standard software solutions within RGC. Requirements: Master’s (PhD preferred) in Bioinformatics or related field; 0-3 years in sequencing informatics including large-scale multi-omics data types; expertise in bioinformatics tools, standards, and novel data structures; active engagement in sequencing bioinformatics community. High-Value: multi-omics platforms, DNA/RNA sequencing, long-read technologies, proteomics, bioinformatics R&D, software deployment, collaborative development with NVIDIA and Google Brain; role based in Tarrytown, NY, with 4 days onsite.
