Job Description Summary:
The Associate Manager, North America Commercial & Medical Affairs Finance is a Finance Business Partner to the North America Commercial & Medical Affairs organization. Key deliverables include forecasts, budgets, monthly accruals & business commentary, and financial strategy. Works cross-functionally on Financial Planning and Analysis and partners with corporate accounting to ensure proper expense recognition and compliance with internal controls.

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with Commercial & Medical Affairs stakeholders and finance management; act as trusted business partner.
- Serve as the point of contact for Finance & Accounting topics.
- Lead annual OPEX budget preparation and provide periodic forecast updates.
- Create and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual variance analysis reports and dashboards; articulate the β€œstory” behind the numbers.
- Maintain close communication with budget owners on risks/opportunities impacting forecasts.
- Support monthly closing (e.g., journal entries for accruals and reclassifications).
- Prepare management reporting, KPI, and audit schedules as necessary.
- Ensure correct accounting treatment for financial results.
- Maintain standard reporting tools to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support financial/business controls including SOX requirements.
- Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting and minimum 5 years relevant FP&A experience in pharma/biotech (or equivalent).
- Strategic thinking; accounting/financial reporting experience.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Timeline-driven, self-starter with attention to detail; hands-on month-end closing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (excellent Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal/written communication.
- Ability to learn business to partner effectively; work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced matrix environment.
- Analytical, adaptable to changing priorities.
- Willingness to leverage company AI platform for efficiencies.
- Strong planning/organization/time management.

Preferred:
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, and generative AI models.
