Position Summary
- Associate Engineer, IT Laboratory Systems to support laboratory and manufacturing benchtop IT systems in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Provides hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and operational execution to ensure system availability and compliance.
- Primarily supports non-standard business hours (nights, extended hours, weekends, holidays, scheduled site shutdowns).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for laboratory benchtop equipment and IT systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and IT hardware.
- Assist in installation and configuration of laboratory software and hardware.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and laboratory protocols.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and support activities.
- Assist in training laboratory personnel on IT systems and equipment.
- Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and IT systems.
Qualifications & Experience / Required Skills
- 1 year of technical support experience or relevant IT certifications required.
- Bachelorโs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and IT systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work non-standard schedules (nights, extended hours, weekends, holidays).
- Flexibility to support day shift as needed, including coverage during absences.
- Ability to report onsite within a reasonable timeframe.
