Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.

The Associate Director-Warehouse and Materials Management Quality will supervise the Quality team responsible for oversight to the warehouse and logistics operations, material dispensing operations, and materials and supplier qualification processes. This role partners with operations to ensure the receipt, storage, transfer, and control of all materials supporting the site.

As the Foundry is currently in design and construction, this position will provide Quality oversight for the detailed design and quality processes related to material handling and dispensing operations, as well as qualification processes for purchased materials for Foundry clinical trial activities. The position is responsible for ensuring that the quality management system is established for this area. This position is responsible for monitoring capacity and allocating Quality representatives to provide sufficient support and the project schedule remains on track.

Basic Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in the Engineering, Science or related field with a minimum of 5 years technical and/or quality experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, preferred.
  • Previous management experience with responsibilities including performance evaluations and personnel development.
  • Strong knowledge of the current GMP expectations and application of quality management systems in execution.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in warehouse and distribution operations.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $118,500 - $173,800.

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
