Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead complex projects, managing plans to achieve objectives.
  • Make decisions to resolve moderately complex problems.
  • Support Global Product Team Lead in creating comprehensive program plans aligned with overall strategy for developing vaccines and therapeutics.
  • Ensure alignment among strategic, operational, and line plans.
  • Apply technical, team, and scheduling expertise to contribute to team deliverables and translate strategic objectives into operational plans.
  • Support the Global Product Team Lead in providing overall project management for Vaccine product development teams to develop new vaccines from Research through product registration, ensuring alignment of strategic and operational objectives.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of vaccine/drug development, resource management concepts, associated business processes, and project planning software and applies skills and general vaccine/drug development knowledge to contribute to the achievement of team or department goals.
  • Work within a cross-functional team environment to drive team alignment; may lead/co-lead moderately complex sub-team initiatives to ensure that the operational deliverables of the program are achieved on or ahead of schedule.
  • Play a key supportive role in scenario planning, support several clinical or regulatory workstreams/ timelines within a program.
  • Contribute to risk management through the identification of operational, project and program risks for discussion with appropriate team leadership. Propose solutions or options to de-risk project or program.
  • Use a variety of communication methods and reporting/analytical tools to communicate critical project information to operational teams, asset, development/project and protocol teams, partner lines and others to support information updates to enable team, line and portfolio decision making.

Qualifications

  • Required: BA/BS with 6+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD/JD with 1+ year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of relevant experience.
  • Required: Strong scientific/technical understanding of vaccine/drug development.
  • Required: Proven knowledge of project and program management discipline and their application to vaccine/drug development.
  • Required: High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.
  • Required: Proficiency using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Planisware).
  • Required: Ability to influence and lead.
  • Required: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Required: Proven track record of effective team management skills.
  • Required: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Required: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Required: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Required: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree (MA/MS/MBA) with 7+ years of experience or Doctorate (PhD/PharmD) with 4+ years' experience in vaccine R&D program management.
  • Preferred: PMP or similar Project Management Certifications.

Additional Requirements

  • Work Location Assignment: This is a hybrid role requiring you to live within commuting distance and work on-site an average of 2.5 days per week or more as needed.
  • Relocation support may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
