Role Summary
Associate Director, US Medical Learning, Onc/CT (Cell Therapy) role focusing on training needs of field-facing medical teams, collaborating with WW Medical Learning and matrix partners to design and deploy learning programs that support medical objectives and patient access to therapies.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight for designated therapeutic areas, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Design, develop, coordinate, and update FM onboarding and ongoing medical education; conduct needs assessments and evaluations to drive updates; align with WW Medical Scientific Learning and related teams.
- Ensure launch readiness of FM through innovative learning design and collaboration; collaborate with US Field Medical Managers on Field Readiness Validations and field-based learning programs.
- Design, develop and deploy ongoing therapeutic area medical education for US FM teams; conduct needs assessments and align with matrix partners to meet US Medical needs.
- Support training around BMS scientific data releases at major US congresses, including data training, post-congress contextualization, knowledge assessments, and recorded media for retention.
- Create/adapt materials and tools for internal use to support US FM in delivering product information to healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with US FM leaders and WW Medical Learning to source outside speakers/consultants for TA-related topics as needed.
- Design training sessions using Adult Learning Principles to optimize learning and protect field time.
- Regularly evaluate scientific learning materials and programs; update based on stakeholder input.
- Incorporate innovation and new technologies into learning solutions; identify efficiencies for content development.
- Create annual strategic learning plans to support FM teams and align with business needs (US HOM, US FM Leadership, WW Medical Learning).
- Organize and maintain training for US FM teams in support of priority trials; collaborate with Medical Excellence, WW Medical Learning, US FM Leadership and R&D.
- Align with stakeholders to ensure learning solutions support medical imperatives, listening priorities, narratives, and core competencies.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree required: MD, DO, PharmD, DNP, PhD, or MSN strongly preferred
- 5+ years TA experience preferred
- 7-10 years pharmaceutical/biotech field experience as a MSL or similar role with proven success
- Experience and strong skills in public presentation
- Excellent organizational and planning skills; ability to interact cross-functionally and across geographies
- Ability to assess workload and prioritize under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication; ability to build internal and external partnerships
- Knowledge and application of adult learning principles and effective learning design
- Self-starter with initiative, accountability, professionalism; strong emotional intelligence
