Associate Director US Medical Affairs, Patient Access and Quality of Care (PAQ) β Oncology
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead development of Medical Affairs (MA) strategies and Plans of Action (POA) for US payers and key accounts within Oncology Therapeutic Area.
- Collaborate with global/USMA TA, Managed Markets, Value and Access, Commercial and Government Affairs to align patient needs, stakeholder value drivers, and Gilead portfolio/products; contribute to US PAQ Strategic Plans and Integrated Evidence Plan.
- Identify/develop patient access strategy and research opportunities for US payers and key accounts.
- Serve as scientific and execution lead for local US oncology PAQ studies/projects.
- Identify PAQ evidence/data gaps; partner with Clinical Development, MA Research, Value & Access HEOR, and Real-World Evidence to address evidence needs across product lifecycle; provide PAQ input into Publication Strategy.
- Develop tools/resources to implement POA; work with external vendor partners.
- Coordinate knowledge development and provide training/resources for PAQ field teams.
- Share insights/evidence needs with PAQ Strategy Lead; contribute to real-world collaborative project/study strategy.
- Lead stakeholder communication strategy (including early scientific engagement and AMCP/preapproval dossier development).
- Coordinate key PAQ conferences; assist with management of PAQ Medical Affairs Advisory Programs (MAAPs).
- Maintain relationships with PAQ thought leaders; may present for internal/external audiences.
- Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues.
Minimum Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelorβs + 10 years OR Masterβs + 8 years OR PhD + 2 years.
Preferred Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- 4+ years Medical Affairs (pharma/medical device), managed care, and HEOR; ideally recent successful launch experience.
- Health economics/outcomes research expertise (protocol writing; observational/economic research execution; study design).
- Advanced life sciences degree (MD/DO/PharmD/PhD).
- Oncology health outcomes/research/MA background.
- Strategic leadership; hands-on, urgent, fast-paced environment.
- Strong US payer/evidence requirements knowledge; payer/provider/advocate/hospital contacts preferred.
- Regulatory/compliance knowledge; strong organization/time management.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills; strong matrix/teamwork.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe.
- Frequent travel (+/-30%).
