Role Summary

Associate Director – US Immuno-Oncology Marketing, GI. Based in Gaithersburg, MD, this role leads cross-functional teams and shapes marketing strategies for the IO portfolio, overseeing all marketing execution for Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), including in-line and launch indications. Reports to the head of Marketing, GI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive HCP marketing strategies to enhance adoption and understanding of AstraZeneca’s treatments.
  • Lead the creation and management of HCP campaigns, ensuring they are data-driven and aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Sales, Insights & Analytics, Market Access, and Training to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies.
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and adopting new partnerships and technologies.
  • Recognize opportunities for efficiencies and synergies with other indications.
  • Manage and optimize the marketing budget to achieve strategic objectives efficiently.
  • Work closely with sales and sales effectiveness teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure all marketing practices comply with AstraZeneca’s standards and industry regulations while integrating innovative approaches.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • Preferred: MBA or higher.
  • Required: Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a focus on oncology.
  • Required: Demonstrate ability to lead complex projects and cross-functional teams, strong analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Required: Proven experience in leading without authority, strategic thinking, and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with digital marketing and omnichannel strategies.
  • Required: High emotional intelligence with a collaborative, inclusive approach that drives team success.
