Role Summary

The Associate Director will lead a high-impact, cross-functional team responsible for the implementation of a new forecasting tool across all US business units. Reporting to the Director, US Forecasting Center of Excellence, this leader will drive model development and standardization, change management, and alignment with technical and business teams over a two-year transformation initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee discovery and review of all existing US forecasting models (spanning multiple Therapeutic Areas).
  • Lead development of approximately four standardized archetype models to support the majority of forecasting use cases.
  • Drive alignment on model design with stakeholders, facilitating consensus across diverse teams.
  • Write, own, and secure approval on detailed functional requirements for each model archetype.
  • Act as primary project lead with the selected vendor throughout solution development and deployment.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet functional and user needs.
  • Create and execute a robust training and adoption plan for US forecasters (including office hours/support).
  • Guide change management efforts: evangelize advanced features (scenario/event/risk modeling, visualization), and foster mindset shifts beyond Excel.
  • Partner with BTS (IT) and the vendor to connect models to upstream/downstream data sources and systems.
  • Ensure data and model outputs are available and integrated for enterprise visualization solutions.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing team; set clear objectives and create an environment of accountability and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Science); advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years' forecasting, analytics, or related experience in the pharmaceutical or similar industry, including hands-on modeling experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful cross-functional projects, ideally in model/tool implementation.
  • Proven people management and team coaching experience.
  • Strong technology affinity with comfort learning and applying advanced analytics tools and platforms.
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills; able to work in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Strong ability to influence without authority, align stakeholders, and communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with data visualizations and analytics solutions.
  • Change management experience desirable.
